Sewa International is a Hindu faith-based, service-oriented, humanitarian non-profit organization, registered under IRS 501(c)(3),

whose mission is to serve humanity in distress, aid local communities, run developmental projects for the underserved, and assist people in transformational change through the power of innovation by mobilizing partners, donors, and volunteers.
Sewa International has been actively responding to the Covid19 pandemic across the USA and locally in the greater Austin area as well.

Nationwide, Sewa has donated more than 625000+ N95, KN95, surgical masks, various PPE, served 45,000+ families through food and grocery distribution, as well as donated $100,000-plus to pantries.

As part of #NeighborhoodSewa, in the past 2 months the greater Austin team has primarily focused on:
(i) PPE distribution to first responders (surrounding PDs,FDs) and physicians in need.
(ii) distributed 5000 lbs of groceries in care packets (including cloth masks) to families in need and in apartments in Round Rock, Georgetown and Bastrop.
(iii) delivered restaurant meals to nurses in Covid19 wing of hospitals and home-cooked meals to nursing homes and rehab facilities in Austin
