Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, popularly called as Khiladi Kumar, is known for doing diverse roles and films.
From doing a patriotic film to end his year with a comedy film, Akshay has time and again proven his versatility through his impeccable performances and film choices.
His film ‘Good Newwz’ has hit the theatres today which also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh.
Today, the actor met media for an interaction where he expressed his views for doing a film on depression since it’s the biggest thing India is currently facing.
The question was raised in context to Television actor Kushal Punjabi who committed suicide last night at his residence.
Akshay said, “I have worked with Kushal Punjabi. One of my films he was there.“
Further elaborating on depression, the ‘Housefull 4’ actor said, “Everybody has their own things.
Some people are lucky enough to understand it, some don’t. Family also matters and we don’t know why people do such things. There must be some reasons to it.
But all I can say is guys be brave enough, face the problem. it’s a lovely life you have, it’s beautiful body you have cultured, your parents have looked after you, given birth to you.
Don’t just let it go. Everybody has problems. I know it’s very easy for me to just say it.
But I think so we should fight it out and just work on it and just not try to take away your life, and deal with depression.
It’s a hard thing. If I would ever get a chance to make a film on depression because it’s one of the biggest thing India is going through, I would love to do a film on what happens in a depressed mind.”
Meanwhile, Akshay is all set for the New Year celebrations with family as he is heading to South Africa for 15 days.
Post that, he will start shooting for the last schedule of ‘Laxmmi Bomb’.
