How to Help

Neighbors, Austin continues to need help responding to the crises created by the winter storm. There is an urgent need for volunteers TONIGHT and the next two days in the following locations:

  • Shelter Support at Palmer Events Center Help distribute supplies and communicate with guests at Palmer Events Center Shelter. Must be 18 or older, only skills needed are customer service and ability to follow instructions.

  • Support drive-through food distribution Community leaders are operating a food distribution at the Millennium Youth Complex and need volunteers to help set up, distribute food, and break down the site.

  • Pack food bags for People Experiencing Homelessness The Eating Apart Together (EAT) initiative delivers food to member of our homeless community and needs help packing bags of shelf-stable food to send with distributors.

We appreciate that these opportunities may not be the right fit for your time and talents; please consider sharing with your friends and network to help get our neighbors food and water during this time of need.
