Madhavan’s ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ Gets Standing Ovation For 10 Minutes At Cannes

Actor Madhavan is making his directorial debut with the film ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’.


The film is based on true events and it is a biographical drama inspired by ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan.


The movie premiered at the 75 th Cannes International Film Festival and it was critically acclaimed and all the guests and celebrities present at the French Riviera praised the movie reportedly.


Director Dhoop Ashwini took to Twitter to share that the movie was amazing and the team received standing ovations and applause from the audience.

Sharing a video, he wrote, “Fab job Director Sahib @ActorMadhavan. Big hug and huge congratulations from the team.”


According to reports, after the movie, the audience at the Cannes gave a deafening standing ovation to director Madhavan for a whole 10 minutes. Making its world premiere, ‘Rocketry:


The Nambi Effect’ was also praised by Union Minister Anurag Thakur and music composer AR Rahman as well.


Actor Madhavan reportedly stated that he is overwhelmed by the response the movie received at Cannes and said that he is grateful by god’s grace.


He thanked the audience for all the love and support that the movie has received.


‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ will be released in theatres worldwide on July 1 and the movie stars Madhavan, Simran, Misha Ghoshal, Phyllis Logan, Vincent Riotta, Ron Donaiche. Actors Suriya and Shah Rukh Khan have played a cameo role in the movie.


The film will be released in Tamil, English, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada.
