Election 2026

While this is midterm election, its outcome is crucial not only to all minorities who seem to be under siege, the Indian American or South Asian minority has particular concern as recent events suggest. The “Model Minority” has now entered the crosshair of of bigoted candidates. Bo French running for railroad commission in our state is one such example and has put pressure on executives like our Governor to make weak statements against discrimination. While senator Cornyn has made strong statement against such blatent racism by the canidate, the President of the USA has sidelined him from future representation. Current state of affairs behooves us to take note of current environment both nationally and statewide and to understand where our enlightened community interest lie.

Candidates like Bo French seems to have no clue about our tiny community’s outsized contribution to the well being of our nation. Every member of our community should be proud of our contributions in all fields. Ranging from Education, science, engineering, art, architecture, medicine, music, business, entrepreneurship, civic engagement, wellbeing of community at-large etc. etc. I urge every member of our community to take into consideration current situation, abominable behaviour of some of the elected officials - the line goes far- and vote and make your views known.

Early Voting Days 19th October through 30th October

Final Voting Day 3rd November

Kindly note that last day of Voter Registration is October 5
