IDEAYA

My name is Srinidhi, and I am currently a high school student who has been deeply impacted by my involvement with IDEAYA.

It wasn’t until I became part of this organization that I truly understood the life-changing power of community support.

IDEAYA—Immigrants for Development and Education of Austin Youth AID, Inc.—is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization established in 2010, dedicated to helping students achieve their educational goals through scholarships and mentorship.

This year, I had the privilege of assisting with IDEAYA’s annual scholarship award ceremony. In 2025, IDEAYA awarded seven scholarships, five of which were received in person at the ceremony.

Watching students walk up to the stage—some the first in their families to pursue higher education, others balancing jobs, hardships, or cultural expectations—left me both speechless and deeply inspired.

Many of these students are continuing their education at institutions such as IBEW-NECA and Austin Electrical JATC, preparing themselves for skilled careers and stable futures.

IDEAYA does more than provide financial support; it gives students confidence and belief in their own potential. What makes this organization especially impactful is that 100% of donations go directly toward scholarships.

All overhead costs are kept minimal and are covered entirely by volunteers, ensuring that every contribution makes a direct difference in a student’s life.

IDEAYA is presently run by dedicated community leaders: Mr. Srinivas Aduri, Mr. Laxman Kaparthy, Ms. Lata Narumanchi, Mrs. Kumar R. Samineni, and Mrs. Radhika Venkata Subramanyan.

Their leadership and commitment have allowed IDEAYA to continue empowering students and strengthening our community year after year.

For every student who receives a scholarship, there are many more with dreams just as bright but fewer resources to pursue them. That is why I want to encourage others—especially those in our Austin and South Asian communities—to get involved. Whether through volunteering, spreading the word, or donating, every effort truly matters.

Those who wish to donate—any amount, according to your budget and your heart—may make a check payable to IDEAYA Inc. and mail or deposit it to:

IDEAYA has shown me what true community looks like: people coming together to make opportunity possible. If you feel moved by these stories, I encourage you to support IDEAYA’s mission.

Together, we can help more students step onto that stage, receive a scholarship, and take their next step toward a brighter future.
