There may be a delay in the release of Prabhas and Deepika Padukone-led film Kalki 2898 AD in theatre.

The release date has been pushed back due to the Lok Sabha elections in 2024. The film was originally expected to release on May 9.

It has been announced that the Prabhas and Deepika Padukone starrer Kalki 2898 AD’s release has been delayed because of the Lok Sabha elections being held in 2024.

According to a source, the film was originally scheduled for release on May 9, and will not debut on a different date.

The production team is expected to issue an official announcement soon regarding the change in the release schedule.

The science fiction is directed by Nag Ashwin, recognized for his previous works like Yevade Subramanyam and Mahanati.

Alongside Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, the movie also features esteemed actors Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Hassan in Prominent roles.

Recently, Nag Ashwin gave insights into Kalki 2898 AD at an event held at IIT Bombay.

The director said, “In India, we do not have a lot of sci-fi films.

We have done a few time travel films. This one is different because it’s in a whole separate world on its own.

Also, in the international sense, it is new because we have not seen India in a future setting or dystopian setting.

So now we don’t have to look at London and New York being born, now we can see our cities also.”

He added,” This movie took place in the cusp between before and after Midjourney and before and after Chat GPT.

First two years, we did a lot of work and then we realised a lot of work became easier after this text-to-image and image-to-text generator happened.” (Courtesy: https://www.msn.com/)
