MUMBAI- The poster for ‘Me No Pause Me Play’, India’s first Hindi feature film focused on menopause, was unveiled on World Menopause Day by Digifilming and Mirrro Films.
The film is notable for addressing a subject that remains largely undiscussed in Indian society.
The feature is an adaptation of the acclaimed book by writer and producer Manoj Kumar Sharma, exploring the emotional, physical, and social challenges women face during this phase.
Sharma stated that the film aims “to break stereotypes and spark awareness, showing menopause as a phase of transformation rather than silence.”
Directed by Samar K. Mukherjee, the cast includes prominent names such as Kamya Punjabi, Deepshikha Nagpal, and Sudha Chandran.
Lead actress Kamya Punjabi commented that the film addresses an unspoken topic. “In our society, people have slowly started talking about menstruation, but menopause is still treated like a secret.
‘Me No Pause Me Play’ gives that silence a voice. This phase doesn’t mark an end—it’s a new beginning,” she told reporters.
The film is scheduled for release on November 28.
