Shantiniketan Announces Premier Indian Senior Living Community Near Austin; Information Session On Nov 29

Austin’s rapidly growing Indian-American community will soon see a major milestone with the arrival of ShantiNiketan, a premier senior living community designed specifically around the cultural, dietary, and social preferences of Indian seniors.

With successful communities already established in Florida, ShantiNiketan is now preparing to bring its unique model of wellness, culture, and belonging to the Greater Austin area. An in-person information and booking session has been announced for November 29, 2025, at 4 PM, hosted at Chinmaya Mission Austin.

The founders describe ShantiNiketan’s vision as a place where Indian seniors can age with dignity, joy, and deep cultural connection. For many immigrants, retirement often brings social isolation, dietary limitations, or the desire for a culturally familiar environment. ShantiNiketan aims to fill this gap with a thoughtfully designed community that blends Indian traditions with modern comfort.

Built around the principles of wellness, culture, and community, the upcoming Austin-area campus will provide residents with a lifestyle that feels both familiar and enriching.

Residents can look forward to freshly prepared vegetarian Indian meals served daily, a feature that has become one of the most appreciated offerings at ShantiNiketan’s Florida communities.

The campus will also include yoga and meditation spaces, fitness and activity rooms, cultural gathering areas, a peaceful community temple, and opportunities for group trips, satsangs, and social events. Everything is designed to support holistic wellbeing—physical, emotional, and spiritual.

One of the most compelling aspects of this project is its limited availability. Only 35 residences will be offered in the first phase, and organizers expect strong demand from Austin’s large and deeply connected Indian population.

“We have seen how transformative ShantiNiketan has been for seniors in Florida,” said Iggy Ignatius, Founder and Chairman of ShantiNiketan. “Our goal is to recreate that same sense of family, familiarity, and joy for Indian seniors in Texas.”

At the November 29th meeting, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the community’s architectural plans, amenities, eligibility, and pricing.

They will also get insights into the day-to-day lifestyle that ShantiNiketan residents enjoy. Speakers include Iggy Ignatius, Prateek Sharma, and Hari Kuppuraj, who will address questions about community life, booking timelines, and the long-term vision for ShantiNiketan Texas.

The organizers encourage all interested families—whether planning for themselves or for their parents—to attend the session and secure their place early. With ShantiNiketan’s strong reputation and Austin’s unprecedented population growth, the limited number of residences may fill quickly.

The event is free to attend, but RSVP is required. Attendees can register by scanning the QR code or using the link https://forms.gle/JqrRAYYgRfHZSXrv5
